Week of February 12th Valentine's Week

Valentine’s Day

This is always an exciting week in kindergarten!  We will read Roses are Pink, Your Feet Stink, and several other Valentine books.  We will have our class party at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, February 14^th.  We will trade Valentine cards with our classmates.  Please make sure to send enough cards for each student (Mrs. Davis 25, Mrs. Strobel 27, Miss Patty 24). Please have your child sign their name on the back of the card.  DO NOT write individual classmates names on the fronts of the cards, this saves us a huge amount of time!!

We will also be reading Three Billy Goats Fluff and Three Billy Goats Gruff.  We will compare and contrast the characters, plot, and setting.

Math

We will start learning about the teen numbers 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20.  We will practice counting objects and writing each number.  We will continue working on all numbers to 20 throughout the month of February.
