When is Kindergarten Round Up?
Thursday, March 1st, there will be no Kindergarten for our current students! We will be meeting all our future kindergarteners!!!
Incoming kindergarteners must be five years old by August 31, 2017. The Olathe School District has information on their website. You can access it here. I know parents ask me a lot of questions about our full day kindergarten program, so I went ahead and I am posting some of the frequently asked questions here.

What do we do in Kindergarten?
Kindergarten is all about learning how to read and write. We focus on learning appropriate social skills and how to interact with peers. We use hands on activities to develop and understand number concepts, and develop problem solving skills. We bring science and social studies experiences to life through hands on lessons and open ended exploration. We ask questions and make connections!
The school district outlines our objectives below.
- to read and write;
- to understand and develop number concepts and math problem-solving skills;
- to experience hands-on science learning and concepts for healthy living; and
- to gain a better understanding of the world through social studies exploration.
